I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, Dasha. Lots of people had issues with Ep 1, including one of your first comments, that it was all very political. Jar Jar was also not a fan favorite. The most interesting thing I learned about the movie was that the celebration music at the end was the same as the creepy Emperor's theme in Return of the Jedi, but in a major key and more cheerful, symbolizing that the victory as a win for the future Emperor, not the good guys. John Williams really topped himself with that, but especially with 'Duel of the Fates', the fight music between the Jedi and Darth Maul. The whole Midi-chlorian thing was not very popular either. Most people liked the idea that the Force was a magical thing, not something you could do a blood test for like diabetes. Midi-chlorians never came up in any future movies, but were mentioned in the Clone Wars animated series and The Mandalorian. It was the reason the bad guys wanted Grogu, but they called it his "M-count."

2022-04-13 18:05:31 +0000 UTCI like how you pointed out that Obi-wan was fighting with aggression. You could say it was one of the reasons why he couldn't defeat Darth Maul - until Maul gave him time to think, and use the Force.
