Holding out for a hero
Added 2022-02-25 08:26:53 +0000 UTCI am working on a new character for Acolytes and let’s be honest, this character was kinda inevitable, wasn’t it?
I have been working on a super hero character for the game, and seeing that every character in Acolytes has a super power, I don’t feel like this guy is much of a stretch.
I have not started writing this guy yet, preferring to work on the art assets first, but I do have plans for him. This is because I am switching up my animation software (I have been using Blender 3D up until now and will be switching over to Live2D), so I need some time to “git gud”. This does however mean that I am gonna be able to piss around with the design of this character quite a bit.
The first question you probably have is, why is he wearing sweats?
Well, he is a super hero, true, but maybe not the best one out there. He really wants to be a superhero and be cool and respected, but wearing nothing but spandex is cold as fuck. So this guy walks around in sweats, to keep warm.
This was partly inspired by bad superheroes like “piecemaker” from the suicide squad and partly by seeing a set photo from the new spiderman movie where Andrew Garfield is wearing sweats over his spiderman suit.
The combination is this guy, who I feel is gonna be fun to write.
Like I said, I’m gonna be sharing a bunch more infor about this guy in the coming weeks, so… get hyped!…I guess
