Flying my birds before our upcoming flight trip
Added 2024-03-26 18:44:00 +0000 UTCIn today's video I am just having a casual flight training session with some of my flock members right outside my house. Our flight trip is coming up where we will be taking an entire month and dedicating it to not only flying our birds but also graduating a lot of new Freestyle Flyer students as well. I am really looking froward to sharing some new freeflight stories with you all.
I'm not too worried about pre-conditioning my birds much at the moment. The weather hasn't been quite warm enough to do a lot and I know the majority of my focus will be on the other birds anyhow for definitely the first and last weeks of the trip. I think they will honestly just be happy to be in the sunshine (consistently) soon!
I've been brainstorming a lot how I can possibly escape the winters (or at least part of them) with my birds in the years to come.

2024-03-31 02:08:06 +0000 UTCI'm so jealous of you being able to safely let your conures fly in your yard. My Hahn's macaw is slightly larger than your conures but not by much. We have numerous hawks, large and small, living in the area. At least one nests on our property. I see them sitting in our trees every day. I'm not sure any place here, Georgia, would be safe. I do love seeing your birds flying and dreaming about mine doing it one day. π

They're called "snow birds". LOL. We still have a couple feet and another month before we will be completely snow free! πππ₯Άπ₯Ά
