Big changes, all thanks to you!

Hi everyone,

It's over a week since I first put up the Patreon and the generosity of people has been astounding. It's the best start I could have hoped for and gives me a huge amount of confidence that one day (not yet, but one day!) I'll be able to devote my full self to this, and just focus on putting out the best content I can, every day.

For now though, the journey continues. So let's take a look at what steps we took this week:

- Following on from my interview with Forbes about demonetisation, the popular gaming news channel 'The Know' also covered my Patreon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGK2kGzRrNc) and Kotaku also interviewed me as well (https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/08/with-destiny-2-coming-destiny-youtubers-fear-losing-money-to-youtubes-ad-bots/)

-I reviewed Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle. I spent a few days on this review because, to be honest, the game is just wonderful. The whole of the Ubisoft Dev Team got wind of the review, and the Creative Director actually took the time to post in the comments section. -I played a whole bunch of the Destiny 2 Beta, but wasn't able to stream it because I didn't have a dual PC set up (long story, but you kind of need it with Destiny 2). Good news- I've hooked up my old PC and I will now be using it as a streaming PC, so streams over on https://www.twitch.tv/skill_up_gg just got a whole lot better :)

Beyond that I also checked out Absolver on PC (which was excellent) and started playing the new game from Digital Extremes, a hero shooter called The Amazing Eternals. Tbh, it's too early to say if it's good or not. More on that soon. 

The biggest news is that we've begun work on a new website that will allow me to better talk about the things I want to share, and allow others to contribute to it. YouTube is a fairly singular art-form, but a platform like a website allows for so much more engagement from so many people. You can get a sneak peak of the design here (http://creatureweb.com/skillup/) and we'll launch it over the coming weeks. 

And to top all of this off, I'm pleased to announce that I've partnered with UberTimmeh (https://www.twitch.tv/uber_timmeh) who will now be supporting me as a community manager. I'm really keen to bring together a community of people who love videogames, and Timmeh already has a huge amount of experience with this in his role with Upper Echelon Gaming. Alright that's it for this week. Don't expect much from me over the next few days- I'll be resting up as I am still sick, and want to be good to go for Destiny 2 :)
