Patron Poll: The Fate of the Prisoners

The rescues are going well, but not everyone who came out of those cages was a victim. Some of the guards and wardens are hurt, and they are now chained up and being watched. It is still unclear what will happen to them.

Hermione says that justice requires self-control. The commanders in the field want blood. The kids' silence is louder than either of them.

So, what should happen to the prisoners?

Option 1: Justice and Trials

They are sent to secure places where they will have formal trials. The evidence found in the rescued archives will be used against them.

Pros: It keeps Hermione's promise that "we can't become what we fight."

Cons: justice is slow.

Option 2: Immediate Revenge

The commanders' anger wins. No courts, no paper, no waiting. The guards are punished right away for their crimes.

Pros: Quick end for soldiers and survivors.

Cons: It crosses a moral line that may never be crossed again. What does that mean for the people who helped?

Option 3: Get the facts first, then make a choice

They keep prisoners alive, but only so they can get all the information they have, like maps, names, and any places and people that haven't been found yet. After that, their fates may be looked at again.

Pros: a tactical advantage, and more kids could be saved.

Cons: It slows down justice and makes it easy to use "usefulness" as a permanent excuse.

Your vote will set the tone for what comes next.Do the rescuers believe in justice, give in to anger, take advantage of the chance to get information, or try something new?
