Chapter 2

Chuck had developed code Blue when he found the first termination order. He had taken inspiration from how hospitals have different codes for each issue, and when they issue a code, everyone knows what they have to do; the code blue directive contains a series of instructions that he wanted to be executed one after the other, which will make his escape possible and help him remain in hiding because he knew that he would be facing the whole might of USA spy agencies. As they tried to hunt him down. Why he named it blue, honestly, he does not know. It just felt right at that time. It did not matter what colour it was called, so he kept the name the same.

As described to Lisa, the directives were

s1 contact Hannah and inform her of the code activation.

s2  put the camera on a loop.

s3 activated the ES device.

s4  arrange for the transportation

s5 to power up the underground bunker where he would be hiding

The whole purpose was for a time when he wanted a quick exit when a new intersection came online because what stopped them from reissuing the termination order now that Bryce was a new intersection?

They didn't need him. He was not stupid. He knew that his being a intersect was not something any higher-ups wanted, but they tolerated him as they had no choice.

Still, no one understood that he didn't want it himself. It was dumped on him. They did not comprehend that he was suddenly thrust into a world that he didn't have any idea of; he did not have months or years of training which all of them had to go before being ready for the field service. He could not just turn off his emotion;

All he got was an order that he had to serve them, or he has going to lock up in a black site and never see Ellie or Morgan, his only family.

Despite the situation, he thought he did his best yes, he got help from the intersect, but most of the time, it was his work, like the first day at the hotel. Sure, the intersect guided him to the general's conference, but when the timer was about to end, he was the one who was able to stop it by his quick thinking when even Sarah and Casey had given up hope.

Oh! He gets a "thank the asset", but looking at the general is enough to understand that she does not mean it, unlike when she praises Sarah or Casey. To them, he is a man who was expelled from Stanford and worked at Buy More.

Chuck will never deny that Casey and Sarah had some heavy lifting on his behalf most of the time. Still, people need to understand that many of the missions for which they have been getting praise, some of them were only successful because of Chuck's quick thinking, not intersecting but due to him.

When they were forced to admit that he had done something, they assumed it was because of the intersection.

Even Sarah and Casey thought that with whom Chuck had worked for three years. All of them were being paid for their work except him. Well, he was handling three jobs, not that he wanted money. He had enough than he would ever want in his whole life, but it is good to be appreciated.

Sometimes it would be good to hear just "well done, Chuck", not asset, not a moron (Casey), just Chuck.

He was brought out of his thinking by a notification from his mobile secure app telling him s1 and s2 were completed.

"Chuck, Hannah wants to talk to you," Lisa said

"Put her on, Lisa," Chuck said. He had not met anyone more loyal to him except Ellie and Morgan. He still remembered how he met Hannah.

He had just been expelled from Stanford and dumped by Jill. He was flying to Burbank when he saw a cute brunette in his adjustment seat.

He introduced himself to her, and they connected over their loss. For Chuck, it was Stanford and Jill; for Hannah, it was her parent's death and loss of money to complete her college, where she was doing a course on computer science.

Well, one thing led to another. By the end of the flight, Chuck found himself giving money to her in return for her service in the Company that he would start. They exchanged numbers, and this was the beginning of Carmichael Industries.

They had decided that although Chuck would be the owner, Hannah would see the everyday work because of his Stanford problem.

At first, they started with programming games and soon created software. They had seen a quick rise after Chuck started working for the government. As he began designing gadgets for the spies, he had the advantage against others as he knew what the spies in the field required. It doesn't matter how much you are briefed; you can only get an idea of what a spy needs in their mission if you are there.

It can be as small as a door opener to a data analyzer. Soon, Carmichael Industries was one of the leading suppliers to government industries. He even got them to agree that the owner wanted to remain secret because it could cause a security risk to him if the bad guy found out about him.

Bad guys could target him as it was when Fulcrum was at its height of power after sometimes they .e. the government agreed after realizing how effective the gadgets they agreed.

He even had heard Sarah and Casey saying how effective this gadget was. Casey said he wanted to thank the guy who made this gadget and would love to have him on his team after one mission.

Then, he turned in Chuck's direction, saying tauntingly that, unlike someone who screams like a baby.

To which Sarah had to laugh and replied: "The person must be a genius."

He was drawn from his daydreaming when Hannah's face appeared on the screen.

"Hello, Chuck, are you alright I just got the message of code blue activation", She asked with worry in her voice.

"It's alright, Hanah. This is purely a precautionary move; better safe than sorry," Chuck tried soth her fears.

"Okay, if you say so,  on a side note, we bought Rogan Industries before the government could seize it. Now we have all its resources at over disposal; of course, it doesn't include the Fulcrum, but we managed to get the rest, " Hannah replied.

"Good, we can now expand our business more as Rogan Industries had useful connections and employers," Chuck said

"It is good for you, but it means more work for me Hannah replied

" I could help you. If that is what you want because you have run the Company for so long. I don't want to intervene. I have to work silently; they will be looking for me, " Chuck said doubtfully

There was a huge squeal from Hannah as she replied: "Of course, you will come, it's your Company, and if you are here, you can decide and make gadgets. You know I work for 15 hours a day."

"Okay then", Chuck replied

Smiling, Hannah replied that she would send someone to pick him up from home to the airport, where a jet would be waiting to take him to New York, where Carmichael Industries' headquarters were located, and then disconnected.

"Chuck, s3 completed", Lisa informed.

ES  was one of the programs Chuck had developed using Lisa's help; as you know, all the surveillance works using the camera.

What if we made the camera see what was not there means to alter the picture it catches? It is impossible to do, but with the help of Lisa, anything is possible.

This supercomputer program can think. It was possible, not easy, mind you. It will take a year of effort, but the software was worth it.

Chuck began making it after the CIA entered his life, knowing he was 24 hours under surveillance. He had made improvements from that time, transferring the software on a chip so that it is portable and can be used to alter surveillance of a two-block radius. He knew it would be advantageous if he had to evade the government agencies that would come after him.

"Well, Lisa Hack into Castle, I want to talk to my ex-teammate and general and inform me the second all of them are in a conference, I am going to pack", Chuck replied happily, but his eyes showed no happiness.

With it, Chuck ascended the stairs and came to his room. As all the camera was still in the loop, he didn't have to worry about it. Chuck looked around his room and room. He bought the house in his first year at Stanford with Share money and had the basement built at that time.

He began packing his cloth and other goods, which he would take with him to New York.

He had just sat on the couch after finishing his packing when Lisa alerted him that the conference was going on through text. He quickly hurriedly showed the base to the computer and said: "Connect it, Lisa."

As soon as the video came to life, he saw Bryce, Sarah, and Casey standing in the conference room and the general on the small tab on the side of a computer.

"Hi guys missed me," Chuck said happily to their shocked faces.

General Beckman pov

General Beckman was having a good day. Why you may ask, it was many reasons. She had only one problem: Carmichael Industries could buy Rogan Industries before she could have it seized.

They were other mysteries to her, but she would let it remain that way until she kept getting useful Gadgets from them. She reasoned she was happy was were

"Intersect was back in an agent as it was designed, not some expelled civilian for a starter; now she would have all her orders directly followed, not have it interrupted; she felt that now she could get more results out of the team because they did not have to protect that asset.

She still had yet to decide if she would have the asset terminated. She had been able to retain complete control over the intersecting project, and she had been able to find Orion.

So imagine her surprise when in the middle of her briefing, the new team intersects; it was not a new team. Only one member had changed, but you get the idea she was interrupted by the asset again.

Sarah pov

Sarah was happy she and Chuck were a couple; technically, Chuck had not asked her, but what happened between them when they were on the run implied that.

She had said to Chuck that she was going with Bryce, but Sarah was going to stay she would talk to the general after this conference. Yes, all was happy in Sarah Walker's world.

So imagine her surprise when the subject of her thought appeared on the screen in front of her and happily said: "Hey guys miss me."
