UE5 (Nancy) -> VaM (Kat)

Testing some of my looks with the latest technology (UE5 MetaHuman). Hopefully, similar results can be achieved in VaM 2.X

Meanwhile, I use it as a reference to achieve similar looks in VaM.

Maybe we have luck and Gen 10 can be used in VaM 2.X as well :). I think Gen 8 could not be used because there were some fundamental differences from gen2 to gen8 (skinning, skeleton). If it's just the Skin detail and Textures that are changing it should not be a problem.

You could always try and design around Genesis 8, and "backport" your models to Genesis 2 semi-easily. On the VaM hub there's a nice blender template that basically lets you convert texture maps to UVs from Victoria 4 all the way to Genesis 9 and everything in between.. Cloning Genesis 8 shapes to Genesis 2 is surprisingly easy. Less issues than the other way around. There is also a piece of "clothing" that lets you use Genesis 8 textures directly in VaM 1.X but it probably has some performance impact. https://i.imgur.com/lRuVWRS.jpeg ^ Here's a quick and dirty Victoria 8.1 mesh / textures converted for use in VaM 1.x I did maybe a year ago

In the time its taken for VAM 2.0 to even get an alpha release out, I'm very surprised that no-one has created software yet to take its place.
