It's so dark!
Added 2019-03-06 22:09:51 +0000 UTCI need your objective feedback about visibility/darkness in first update.
Considering it is evening... But sometimes there will be evenings in this game.
I want to know what the hell is going on.
I can see everything, but some people don't, and some - completely nothing.
Is it problem on my side?

I don't have HDR monitor. Default settings. If you can't see all bars on test image, you have to do something with your screen, but I'm not sure what exactly. There are brightness, contrast, gamma... I took that picture from this site http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/contrast.php So I would suggest to dig little bit into it, if you want of course.

2019-03-09 22:28:56 +0000 UTCwhich isn't a huge deal, i play in full screen, so it takes 2 seconds to change the settings profile before i launch the game and back when I'm done. I don't expect you to go back and re-render old images, but it, would be nice if you could lighten things up moving forward, as I'd appreciate not having to do it in the future.

2019-03-08 23:02:56 +0000 UTCwithout adjusting my settings, i can only barely see column 2, nothing at all from column 1. maxing out my brightness doesn't help. if i turn up my contrast, I can see all of the colors from all of the columns. but as i said, i have to return the settings to default when I'm done playing, because it makes my desktop unviewable

2019-03-08 22:59:59 +0000 UTCWhat about calibrating image before arrival? Can you see all bars in all color lines?

2019-03-08 20:36:12 +0000 UTCThe images were too dark for me on my laptop monitor, I could barely make out figures, but not any kind of detail. Jacking the contrast WAY up allows me to see, but mucks up everything else on my computer so I can't see anything outside of the game without returning to default settings.

2019-03-08 19:56:14 +0000 UTCI can see but it is dark . Would like more light to see better details. Some features are hard to see.
2019-03-08 05:43:00 +0000 UTCIt's too dark for me. But I don't have an HDR screen. I'm quite sure that on my iPhone X or OLED TV it would be just perfect. My guess is that you use an HDR screen, or at least something close to, and therefore have much better contrasts in dark tones. On my 6 years old laptop, the first three shades in the test color image are fully black, even with lightness at 100%.

2019-03-07 21:36:44 +0000 UTCIt is most likely not film grain but low samples from the Global Illumination.
2019-03-07 03:00:00 +0000 UTCI am a VFX lighter by trade if your interested in some tips to relight this location feel free to message me.
2019-03-07 02:54:05 +0000 UTCPlease no... I have a colour calibrated monitor so I really shouldn't change brightness or it will mess up the settings.
2019-03-07 02:47:08 +0000 UTCMaybe add something like: adjust the brightness until the box is just barely visible against the black

2019-03-06 23:31:07 +0000 UTCI had no problem at all. Could see everything fine. The darkness fit the time of day perfectly.

2019-03-06 23:21:35 +0000 UTCHonestly, I don't think the brightness is the problem. I think the (Film Grain) is too strong in the evening, so the lighting doesn't look natural, because it already looks like it was a lot darker, and someone tuned up the brightness via Settings. I personally find that film grain gets in the way of bright colors being eye popping, there for everything looking more washed out/flat. So my opinion, turn down the film grain, maybe turn up saturation instead, and leave the brightness as is. ^^
