I really wanted to push that 80's cover look a bit harder than I did for the Hellsbound Hearts piece. I studied a lot of backgrounds and the painting techniques for them to try and capture that a bit more. I also noticed that a lot of these old clinch covers use teal/blue and pale yellows quite a bit.
I'm quite proud of the lettering on this one, and also painfully aware that I need to learn Illustrator so I can actually do this the proper way instead of bruteforcing it with liner brushes haha.
