"Reverie" aka: I had to paint mortal Astarion again...

Sending springy blessings your way as winter starts to settle in. I've been desperate to revisit my mortal Astarion "design" again, (I know, he's more like a shiny Pokemon color swap haha) and I finally had the inspiration last weekend. I've been working on this piece on and off and was determined to use it to level up a bit background-wise. I'm especially proud of the mushrooms and the bark on the log. I think this should make a lovely wallpaper, it's a pretty huge canvas.
I personally feel like Astarion's "elfyness" is really tragically understated in the game, and I would have liked to have seen it explored more. Eventually I would like to share the fanfic I've been working on, focused really heavily on elf lore, but I'm not quite ready yet.
I love how elves are so in tune with nature, and in the Forgotten Realms they really are fey beings. I think Astarion would have enjoyed lounging outside, soaking up the sun... (yes I will be a Sun Elf Astarion believer forever and ever, you won't change my mind!)
I know there might be some people who think that Astarion would be averse to nature due to him being kind of stuck up, and having commented on the "novelty" of sleeping on the ground, but I think that his love of the sun says otherwise. Also, he is an elf, after all.
Anyways, it's 4AM so I think I'll wrap this up. I hope you guys enjoy this one, it's a precious piece to me.
