Astarion: Midnight (Last month's poll winner!)

As per the vote from last month, we have Astarion decked out in a more classic vampire look for Halloween. ♥♥
I know there's quite a bit of controversy over long haired Astarion, so I tried to meet in the middle a bit with more of a grown-out look for him as opposed so flowing locks. I tried a couple of different approaches on him, and I felt that really long hair on him just seemed so off when I painted it! I've also seen it done several times by other artists, so I decided to go with more of a "Sam Reid in Interview with the Vampire" look instead. I think it better suits Astarion's hair texture.
This piece is unapologetically and obnoxiously Ann Rice inspired. :P
I kind of like to imagine this might be what Astarion looks like 100 years or so after the events of BG3 and his spawn ending. Perhaps Astarion loosens up a bit after getting a taste of life as an adventurer and unwilling hero. I was kind of imagining this portrait popping up in BG4 after the player is told to meet a mysterious someone after dark for some important quest. (Yes, in my fantasies it looks like an older CRPG a la BG1 complete with isometrics and text boxes, don't judge me!!)
I hope to be opening up 2 portrait/couple commission slots in in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for it!
