Karlach: Heartsick
Added 2023-09-27 00:00:58 +0000 UTCI'd been thinking for quite a long while that I wanted to paint Karlach, but didn't find the inspiration for it until a few days ago. I have a tendency to want to show the more vulnerable or hidden sides to characters, if you haven't noticed! (Not always, of course, but it's my favorite thing to do.)
There's just something particularly poignant about the way a character might act when they think no one is watching, or when the only person around is someone they love.
Karlach is obviously a very boisterous and cheerful character, but there is a lot of hurt there for her as well.
I hope you all are doing well, and I see that spooky Astarion has won the vote! (Don't worry long haired Astarion voters, your time will come!! I literally can't help myself.) I've started sketching some ideas up and think I'm about ready to put digital paint to digital paper this evening.
