I could be wrong, but my impression is that we're zooming in and out along with how close we are to the content - zoom in on the hands for the big feels, zoom way out to indicate the reader might have to prep for a scene change instead of hearing her story. It's very skillfully and thoughtfully laid out; I love it! 👍👍
