Still pluggin' along with this chapter, so I don't have any behind-the-scenes type drawings for you you guys right now :(. What I can say is that I've been working to make this section with Vincent and Elias a bit more narratively coherent, and it's really been worth it. Like, I'm super happy with this chapter now. There's a pretty big fight scene, which is very exciting because I love drawing action scenes. It's gonna be stupidly long, though, so I hope you all like...looking at action scenes. I'm going to try and release an extra page during those sequences because with so much action, there won't be much of substance, and it'll read better with more pages clustered together. We'll see! I hope it'll work out.
Here is a chunk of dialog that I had to cut that I was quite proud of, though! And yes, my scripts are really this sparse, because I'm ridiculous.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elias: It’s gotta be kind of terrifying to be manhandled by a bunch of super-strong weirdos with sharp teeth, incompetence aside.
Vincent: Yeah, kind of. [Stare.] The lack of bathroom down here really adds to how fun this has been.
Elias: The floor is dirt, though.
Vincent: That’s not a good enough reason to pee in someone’s basement.

The relationship between Elias and Mal and Elias and Vincent are the two main relationships that I've had to build from the ground up so far. There'll be a lot more development with Malaya and other characters, but the building blocks start with Elias.
