2022-12-08 18:11:38 +0000 UTCThere's also the fact that if they live in a relativistic universe and travel at relativistic speeds (which the novels suggest they do) if you're a non-trivial distance apart (E.g. beyond the bounds of instantaneous communication) you physically can't agree when 'now' is anyway. Time gets very odd over large distances and when you involve high speeds.
