Over the last couple of months, I've been slowly chipping away at a project I've been thinking about for probably 2 years now. I'm proud to announce my current long-term project “Close Encounters” is officially in production.
What is “Close Encounters”?
It's a dungeon crawler RPG about cute furry girls investigating the strange an esoteric.... and their clothes get torn off a lot.... I was joking going to call it ENF Mystery Dungeon at one point, lol.
Is this porn?
YES! This will be an adult game, though it will probably be softcore for the most part. There will be nudity, humiliation fetish-type stuff, and even some dating sim-esque bits planned to unlock intimate scenes between party members (this will tie into the skill system actually)!
Where is Jordie and the gang?
This project will largely star a new original cast. I wanted this to be mostly its own thing and keep my personal characters to myself. However small cameos are almost assured. So keep an eye out for the regulars as more dev diaries are posted.
What do you have so far?
I have a 3d environment system with appropriate WASD tank controls and strafing. Many planned HUD elements are currently in a semi-funcitoning prototype stage. Generally, a lot of my setup so far was changing default elements of the engine to fit my needs, disabling certain inputs, changing the save systems, and things like that.
What do I get for supporting?
$12 and up patrons get a special thanks with each dev diary/ build release. $25and over supporters will receive beta builds as they are released (this may take some time). Everyone regardless of tiers will be able to give me suggestions and feedback and get to see previews and dev diaries.
What else do you have to do?
A lot... Like I won't sugar coat it, this is going to be an ongoing project for quite a while. I don't really want to even try to put a target release date on it yet. Everything is still a prototype or outright placeholder while more back-end things are begin developed. However the current “build” is a decent enough vertical slice for now.
