What's all this about?

At the start of this year, I made a promise to myself that I would make this whole art thing financially viable for myself. I've struggled to find a direction in that effort this past month and seeing the stagnant growth of my Patreon I've decided it's high time for some major changes.

I've decided above all else my own happiness will take priority in what I will be doing here on Patreon from now on. If I'm not having fun then it shows in my work and I don't want that for me or any of the lovely people that support me. In light of this decision, I'll be shifting my focus to personal projects and things that interest me rather than the shotgun approach I've been using the last 3 or so years on this platform.

What does that mean? What's gonna happen to the porn?

It means a few different things, but rest assured there will not be any slowdown in content for you. I just want to shift my focus more to things I personally want to pursue and my growth as an artist and my satisfaction with my art. Moving forward I want to try and do more multi-media/mixed-media things with blender and such. I also want to try to refine my style and my branding into something more niche and focused, i.e. more chill/spooky vibes all around.

In addition, you'll probably be seeing more focus being put on my OCs and the world they live in/ scenarios they fall into. This is something I've been needing to do for a long time honestly. I hope that you'll find that exciting.

What about the Tiers/Benefits?

Those will be changing soon, though I'm still working out how. The fact is my growth on this platform has been minuscule and my patron retention month to month is very poor. Furthermore, the tiers as they are now are kinda a total mess. I think it will be best for everyone involved if I go in and clean up / refine the tiers to be more streamlined and understandable.

You won't be losing any benefits you already have, but the wording and specifics of them may change.

Wait, you're a streamer too?!

Yep, I also stream over on twitch. This doesn't really have any barring on my Patreon though patrons do get access to my Secret Video Vault. Which is where I put private streams and other special events. Consider it a small bonus.

Another thing that needs clarifying is the difference between subbing to the stream vs the Patreon. The short answer is, the stream is cheaper but has far fewer benefits, it's also completely stream-focused. While Patreon does cost more (depending on tier) but gives far more benefits, has NSFW content, art updates plus most of the benefits from subbing to the stream.

What's the plan here, Jordie?

The plan is to finally make a living with my online content. I've been at this for about 5 years now and I think it's about time I start seeing some returns on that. I'll be putting a lot more effort into brand growth this year and reaching out to people. The hope is to find some sustainability in 2022.
