Magebuster: Amorous Augury Release!

Thanks for your support! There is a spoiler-free walkthrough for Magebuster on Steam. The ending you're trying for is Ending 6. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1632648905

Hello there I’m not a Patreon but I’ve bought both Demon King and Magebuster and love your games! Although I’m having a problem with clearing phase 4 of the fight. She keeps cycling through a pattern of attacks that prevent me from doing enough damage to cancel her regen. Not sure if this spoils the game but I’m only experiencing the defeat ending while I’m trying for the vanilla ending. Any help or tips would be appreciated but if not no problem, thanks again for your content!

Perhaps you're right, and I could make more content exclusive to Patrons to make them feel more valued. However, I've seen a lot of backlash get thrown at larger companies lately for shenanigans, involving cutting content out of a base game and using it as leverage to encourage spending, as is the case for many games with DLC, microtransactions, loot boxes, and a lot of controversial things. Taking time to make backer-exclusive content would certainly encourage more backers to support me on Patreon, and make those who pay for it feel a "sense of pride and accomplishment", but it might feel like a cheap tactic to some who bought the game on Steam only to learn that one ending or CG set is locked behind a Patreon paywall. In addition, I'm sure you might have heard that Patreon has been under some scrutiny lately, and I myself have had some Patrons drop their pledges because they don't want to support the larger business that is Patreon. Making Patreon exclusives would lock those people out. I know you can't see it, but the sales revenue from Steam and other storefronts are the vast majority of my income, not Patreon. As such, I think the best course of action for me is to cater to that demographic, and give them the complete games they deserve, without any locked-off content to make people feel like I'm trying to squeeze their wallets dry. Thus, my current plans are to focus on providing all of my best content everywhere, not just in one place exclusively. My Patreon will likely remain as it is, a platform for beta access and previews of what I'm making before I publicly post it elsewhere. Please understand, and I hope you enjoy playing my games.

I would be happy to purchase the game and leave a review. I personally don't mind buying the game but perhaps in the future you could include a patreon exclusive patch that offered additional CG sets or an alternate ending etc. in order to make those who support you feel like they are getting something back for the monthly support and not just paying you to make a game then having to buy it. I understand you are more then willing to give out free download codes to patreon but then you lose the revanue from a purchase. At least with patreon exclusive content patreons are getting extra content for their monthly investment and you're still getting game purchases. Just a thought to benefit both parties for your next release :)
