Like the others said, he doesnt go super saiyan anymore, in db super he says something like he decided to follow his human side instead of his saiyan side

2025-11-08 02:23:23 +0000 UTCI'll just tell you now because it's never stated outright. Gohan new power is technically a transformation that's been retroactively named Ultimate/Mystic. So for Gohan it would go Base > Super Saiyan > Super Saiyan 2 > Ultimate. The show does make it seem like it's his new base power, and many fans had the same confusion. But it is a new transformation. Also fun head canon - Earlier on in the arc Vegeta and Goku talk about how Gohan had been slacking off on his training during the seven years of peace after Cell. That he isn't nearly as powerful as he should be. So, this is arguably how strong Gohan would have been if he had kept up his training.

Or c) it doesn't come up in this saga, and I ended up searching for the answer at some point and it's just been incorporated in my knowledge....
