Remember when I referenced the original anime? The mind crush was more used on actually evil characters Now for the 4kids dub, if I remember correctly they showed the goons running in but without finger/guns

So he used Mind crush to destroy the souls of the kidnappers, and they're just empty bodies in a coma forever. In the manga, when Yugi used Mind crush on Kaiba in their first game it put him in a coma. This guy wasn't a shape shifter, he was using Kaiba's body like a marionette . Kaiba heard his little brother and woke up, and forfeited.

2024-11-22 00:32:23 +0000 UTCThe Abridged makes fun of the fact that they replaced guns with fingers by saying their invisible guns (except for one time in the future) and yes one of the ghost comments WAS from a future episode.

2024-11-21 22:03:25 +0000 UTCI couldnt find the english episode to see if it has guns, but found a wiki that says the differences, and they really changed some dialogues, like the whole thing about the impersonator of death being kaiba's dark side brought from the shadow realm, as you could see the original didnt say anything about that. It does mention that they removed the guns when they went inside kaiba's mansion, also for some reason, pegasus glass of wine that is shattered by yugi seems to be empty in the dub.
