we have some WILD theories in this one!
I don't remember hearing that. I know they did that for Clue, but that's the only movie I know did a stunt like that.

You're thinking of Silent Hill. That's the place you're describing that helps people with their mental issues
It's a Genius Loci. The spirit of the place woke up, and it's aware now.
also, didn't this movie have 5 different endings? And each theater got a different one?

Ah, but the alternate ending wasn't the released ending was it? lol, honestly I still consider the room pretty harmful, and I know it was flat out evil in the short story, but it was fun to speculate. Glad you liked the reaction!

Loved the reaction, good job.
Personally, i dont think it was a benevolent room, in the other ending mike dies in the fire, in the funeral samuel L jackson tells the wife that he ended the evil of the room and tries to give her the box with the recorder but she refuses, later he listens to it and hears katie's voice and then sees her and a burned mike walking hand in hand through the cemetery.
At the end you see mike walking through the burned room confirming its dead and hears katie calling him, and both go through a door and disappear.
I dont know why no one else tried burning it or why the room let the fire grow, but i remember a theory, thinking that supernatural things and heaven and hell exist, that katie was actually real, an angel that came to help her father, maybe that weakened the room or something
