The Canadian subs are a cool idea in theory, but terrible in execution. 50% of the time it's just pointless commentary. 20% of the time it's explaining or repeating the joke already being made in the show. 15% of the time it's a bad joke. 10% of the time it's spoiling a joke that is about to be made in the show. And 5% of the time it's actually a good joke.

2024-06-11 00:25:44 +0000 UTCAt 3:10 the albino Namekians thing was a joke TFS made in season 2. In their abridged version, there used to be albino Namekians as well. Super Kami Guru lead the Namekians through a drought he caused himself which he blamed on the albino Namekians, resulting in their genocide. Super Kami Guru confessed to it as he was dying and they got pissed and cannibalized him. This was when Dende wished everyone to Earth while Goku was fighting Freeza on Namek.

Honestly the overarching theme in the movies is Korin’s romance. From fight to wedding registry (honestly these two movies are out of order) to what’s in the next one.

2024-06-10 17:07:55 +0000 UTCDon't put Canadian subtitles. They distract you from the actual jokes by making other jokes. Canadian subtitles are better for a second viewing or people who have already seen original Dragon Ball. NOT a first reaction.
