The Catholic church had plenty of reason to hate pagans. They allowed complete religious freedom to pagans, you could keep your holidays, just call it a saint's day instead of what it used to be. You can keep your ceremonies, just stick a cross in it somewhere. But many pagan religions still practiced human sacrifice, ritual gang rape, and other awful things For example the Cathar cult. It took over a century for the Inquisition to stop them. They would kill Catholic priests and nuns, and steal their outfits, then walk into town and claim to be the town's new priest. Preach blatantly heretical things for weeks, so all the townspeople would go to hell for apostasy, and then poison the communion wine. Whole town goes to church, drinks the poisoned wine, and drops dead in the chapel. Then they'd move on to the next town to do it again. Weeks later someone would wander into town and find dozens of corpses in the church and no survivors. Back to the show, there's less economics lessons so far. By the end of the first episode Horo had already made Kraft a sum of money with her clever tricks, if I remember right.

2024-04-24 01:21:44 +0000 UTCNow that the video problem is sorted time for some Fun facts for Spice & Wolf, number 1 Kraft Lawrence is 25 years old in the beginning of the series I don't think its ever mentioned early on because it expects you to assume he's an adult anywhere in his mid to late 20s/early 30s. Fun Fact 2. Jess you mentioned that there was a Girl who knew Lawrence in the old show and she was actually anime original to the old series. She replaced Yarei in old show as Lawrence's friend/student to have more romanctic tension in the early parts of the series and you even see her design in this show they made her the random village girl who tackled Yarei during the Festival lol pretty cool cameo/call back to the old show. So yeah turning/replacing Yarei into a girl was the biggest change the old series did and the new is going for a more 1 to 1 adaption of the novel.
