When his mind was transported to the New World in his undead skeleton body, his human body back on Earth became brain-dead and died of starvation/dehydration because it no longer had a soul within it and therefore couldn't feed itself. His coworkers apparently found his corpse there, still hooked up to the VR system. Also, there are rings in Yggdrasil that allow the wearer to resurrect upon death. The Eight Greed Kings had these rings, and every time they died, they were brought back to life but lost 5 levels as a penalty for death. Also, could you watch this next video? All through out the anime Ains has been looking for the ones who attacked Shalltear, what do you think will happen when Ains has a true target to fixate on in the Theocracy?
