Well...that, sure, but beyond that, I can’t imagine how terrifying it’d feel to be forced into something so personal like that without any choice in the matter. I think this page specifically does a good job of conveying that same fear and frustration.

^ What Oxley said, in both posts. One of the chief joys of great TF writing is the *inner* transformation that occurs as the person affected gradually comes to see their change as something positive, rather than a curse. Duran hasn't really gotten started on that journey yet; I'm curious to find out how difficult it gets for him.

(And hey, kudos to you for this entire scene—/excellent/ writing)

It may be an uncomfortable exchange to watch, but...I think I can empathize with Duran on this one. TF is such a popular trope in this fandom, I don’t think many people really consider the implications of being transformed unwillingly, having your bodily autonomy taken away from you like that, even on accident. Like...that shit scares me, and I don’t blame him for feeling this way. Maybe it’s because I’m no fun and can’t separate fiction from reality (lol), but it’s still a side of TF I don’t see too often.

Character flaws FTW. We've come to know Blackbird as such a carefree, happy creature that to see her this distressed is quite upsetting in its own right. Such feels for both characters on this page.
