I really do believe the ending to the fight with Bomber is just weirdly out of place. Hunter x Hunter is generally speaking an amazing story, and Yorknew City arc in particular I believe is almost perfect, probably the best written arc in manga / anime history. But yeah the thing about healing Genthuru and his friends is very from the left field. Just in the last arc we saw Gon challenging the Troupe members he had no chance to win against, just because Nobounaga DARED to care for Uvogin despite being a killer. As much as Genthuru caring about Bara is... a commendable trait - it's been established that there's nothing that pissess of Gon more than evil people having compassion for their friends (as weird of a trait it is) "All of the players knew they were taking a risk" - but again, Gon was pissed off by the fact that the players resorted to killing to clear the game, when it was specifically designed to make it so players don't fight each other. It just comes across like a bit of a cop out, that Genthuru is forgiven while others like him are not, I'm not even sure if Killua's argument that he is worse than them is worse. Zoldycks were well established to do this as a business, not for pleasure. Clearly the same can't be said for the Bombers
