Jin is always going to have Matheson Syndrome, and in the context of this universe anyone with that condition who wishes to have a relationship is going to have to manage it. Now some couples may decide that they stay apart whenever their partner is having a spell, but it would also be perfectly reasonable for couples to explore each other and not fight Mathesons. I could even imagine Morphatech having a specialist line of adult only products for those couples who wish to do that. Anyways, I figure Jin is demonstrating the immense amount of trust he has with Akira by doing this when he is so vulnerable.
