A is for Annie 13 (WIP working title)

Annie's thoughts churned all morning. She couldn't decide if she was flattered or insulted by the offer. Either way, she thought to herself, he was right. The Bastard. Touching up her makeup, she was painfully aware of every crease, patch puffiness and sag.
She noted how hungry she'd grown lately for Dr Mason's approval, even at times craving a little more. Lunchtime came around and sitting across from the good Doctor, amidst the cafe's upscale surrounds helped put her mind at ease.
"Consider it an investment on my part my dear. You are after all, the face of my company: It's only fitting that you more fully represent what we're all about" His steady gaze seemed to be cross-examining her current features as he pictured alterations.
"Besides, you seem to be enjoying your most recent enhancements. I know your followers surely do"
It was true; Her social media status had bloomed lately, with her daily selfies generating a nice steady stream of dopamine drenched compliments. Initially she was just showing off to friends, a glossy pout, a fresh set of nails or good hair day deserved to be displayed.
It wasn't long after, that requests for nudes and feet pics started to creep in from a wider audience. She scoffed inwardly at the pleas for such pics, telling herself she was not the kind of woman to just put it all out there like that. At least, not to strangers, and certainly not for free.
As she sat listening to Dr Mason list potential tweaks and alterations to her features, she glazed over somewhat, trying to imagine what the bill for such procedures would look like. Mason was one of the best in the country, and his fee reflected this. Part of her was keen to explore further changes, but how would she justify the cost? Perhaps this was her chance to ask for a raise?
