Helluva boss had the benefit of being crowd funded so viv and the writting team could really stretch thier legs and show off what they were capable of, were Hazbin had to bow to the creative and financial restrictions of Amazon and A24. By the end of season 2 Helluva boss far outstrips Hazbin in both the quailty of its animation AND story. All that said though, it did such a good job showcaseing what Viv's team could do when given a free reign it seems to have woken up big money producers to the potential they were stiffling, and now not only are they backing Helluva Boss for seasons 3 and 4 but from what's been teased and how excited viv and the whole cast and crew have been it looks like we can very likely expect to see spindle horse be given its head to tell the Hazbin story how *they* want to tell it. I for one have my money on the 8 eps of season 2 kissing that 24min runtime good bye, and getting something more like Invincible's 40-50 min episodes. Another great reaction. Next eps is arguably one of the weakest in season 1 but if anything that just makes me more excited to hear your take on it!

2025-08-12 00:55:11 +0000 UTCVerosika's drink getting thrown into the water is what caused the fish monster, so the best I have is that her drinking being a problem is referenced early on when shes first introduced, so thats the closest to a setup for it there is I think.
