Until Adam hit Charlie Lucifer couldn't intervene as they had a deal with heaven that the hellborne would not be hurt by the angels as for why he wasn't there watching no idea maybe adam would have just killed all her friends first if he was there to remind him that he couldn't harm charile but yeah it feels rushed and messy because it kinda is I think the creator wanted at least 10 episodes

I guess the message was Charlie showed Lucifer she was able to bring all the sinners he had lost faith in together with the cannibals & all that (which feels weak because the cannibals aren’t really characters) or he was just convinced back in episode 5 but then I don’t get why he showed up late & wasn’t already there to help. That said, him showing up to basically win was disappointing & bland. Then there’s just other things like how Emily (the Angel that sided with Charlie) is just sat drinking tea during this Extermination after being so disgusted & against it when she found out in episode 6. You’re telling me she just gave up & didn’t do anything & was happy to sit around while it happened? Then I don’t understand why it set up Alastor going missing, which I thought would be a big plot point going into the next season, only to immediately have him return to the gang & reveal he’s alive in the middle of a song. Lute being allowed to live was contrived as hell given that she is shown as even more zealous with this whole extermination thing than Adam was (who mostly just enjoyed it, whilst Lute takes it seriously) so why let her go? I know they’re just fighting to defend their hotel & maybe the point is they can’t have an all-out war with Heaven because it will confirm Heaven’s fears & they’ll double-down but Vaggie letting Lute live had zero set up. I dunno. The series was fun but this last episode felt like a messy hurried “conclusion” that didn’t really work off what had been built up all that much. It felt kinda weak to me lol
