I like that the way they did Rumi and Jinu it can be seen as purely platonic. Yes they became important to each other fast, but there was no kissing or declarations of love. They had the protentional to be a couple and if he had lived I feel like it might have gone that way, but you can see this as having nothing to do with romance. It was always about acceptance.
