This Watch is Probably Worth 25 Bucks, But It's Priceless To The Owner

Marshall restores another vintage watch, this time it's an Elgin wristwatch from the early 1960s that belonged to a family friend's father. He was a truck driver and was awarded the watch for 10 years of no accidents driving the truck. Enjoy this one!

Hey Marshall, longtime viewer of the channel. Long story short, I have a A-11 that is in need of repairing and probably will need to be saved. I’m unsure of its saving but my family history is vague and it dates back to my grandfathers days in WW2(I have photos of him in service!). The only item I had to remember him by was his flag given to us in his death. However, I randomly discovered this A-11 in storage and would love to have it fixed. It did suffer water damage and the movement does have some surface rust. Is there any advice you could give me or anyone other than yourself who could even fix this? I don’t want to buy a new one or a used one in working condition due to the significance of this one. I’d like to try and buy some potential replacement parts but I’m not even sure if it’s possible to fix with my ignorance of watch making. However, I am determined. My only hope other than a watchmaker is to use your two a-11 videos as a guide. Any feedback would be appreciated and great video as always!
