Patreon Video - Episode 32 - Stylized Fire Tutorial

Sooo, here comes the first video on the Wildfire scene! In this one we dive into full details about creating the flame assets I made for the Wildfire shot using After Effects.

I use a plugin called Trapcode Particular for most of this. Its a 3rd party plugin, meaning it doesn't come natively with AE. But its one of those I think is needed in almost every project, so definitely worth getting.

I have uploaded the flame assets to the drive folder that you from the Elder tier can access if you want to have a play with them. (If you don't know how to access it, on the top of my page you can find the Elder tier tagged posts. There is the one containing the links to the G-drive.)

Hope you enjoyed this first episode! In the next one we will look at how the 3D aspect of this shot was made. I will show you how I lit the scene using the 2D flame assets and how I created an atmospheric forest scene within Cinema 4D.

Hi Danni. This was using the 2.2.6 version. Not sure if there are newer ones or if it updates automatically.

Hi Olof, what version of the trapcode is this?

That was great, thanks Olof

Thank you! :D

Oh great! What a coincidence :)) !

Perfect timing. :D I'm starting with Trapcode Particular and I needed to be able to create some sort of a cartoon(ish) fire. This comes in really handy! Thank you, Olof! :)
