There was a lot of pose refinement on this cover, which I donβt mind because thumb-nailing poses is one of my favorite parts and it forces me to get really creative with body language.
Here we were trying to find the perfect balance of the rivals to lovers, haughty prince vs rugged pirate dynamicβ so each pose is varying concoctionβs of each. Really fun to experiment with, and glad we kept the βstealing the captains hatβ idea. π
