Build 01.16.21 - First build of the year!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had amazing holidays and a happy new year.

Finally I bring you a new build after my hiatus during December.

This is a small release for the game which includes mostly Engine improvements and UI enhancements.

The UI enhacements you will note right away are the indicators when you pick up an item, obtain/spend money, when one of your stats goes up/down, and when a character's stats go up/down or you unlock a specific property from them.

These are some of the improved indicators you will clearly notice show up with a nice animation.

Another change you will see is that you can now access your user's profile from the main menu if you hover on your user's picture and click on Profile.

That's most of the noticeable changes for the game, however, during my hiatus I worked on the engine and HTopia Canvas whenever I could.

There are a lot of changes for HTopia Canvas so here it goes:

- First of all, I've added a new layer of security to the system, so now user accounts will need to be verified before using most of the services (this will apply to the game as well later on). So make sure to go to your profile page and click on Verify account if you didn't receive an email.

- This is how the home page after logging in is looking, just so you notice all the new available pages on the main menu:

- You will notice 2 new options in the main menu, Releases and Creator.

- Releases allow you to publish a new release of your mod so that any player can download it and play it. This last part is still in development, right now you can't download any mods from the game yet.

- The Creator page allows you to fill out your creator profile which will be publicly available when players start searching for mods so they can know who created a mod and how to donate to them. So make sure to fill out your Creator profile before publishing any Releases.

That's pretty much the big changes on the HTopia Canvas platform. There was a lot of work involved on the background that you can't really see, but thankfully, we're getting close to have a decent modding tool for creators soon.

Now to finish this long post, here's a sneak peek at the Mods page within the game:

This is how you will be able to search and install mods from the community, once installed, your game will load up all their content ready to be played. This is still a work in progress so I will let you know when it's available for testing.
