Because Dennis is a bastard man!

I think I can forgive Jonathan for wanting to be checked out, he thought it was finally his turn to be a regular teen! Everything was back to normal and they had moved to cali. Mom was finally around to help the family and Will could take care of himself. But nooooo there just had to be another stranger thing

I am with you, Will, I always struggle not to dislike Mike lol. And something I’m just now realizing during this rewatch: Mike has a real issue with going to extremes behaviorally, based on if there’s trauma/danger. Will missing and in danger for 2 seasons? Mike is ride or die dedicated to finding him, no matter the risk, and he’s super protective and caring when Will is back but still threatened. Then as soon as season 3 hits, and the focus of the danger isn’t on Will anymore? Mike drops him like a hot potato, and is just annoyed when Will tries to reconnect or speak up. He’s doing similar things with Eleven. She’s his entire universe that he would do anything for, as long as she’s a supernatural tragedy in peril. But when she loses her powers and is just trying to live her life as a normal girl, his interest cools as does his support. But as soon as she’s arrested and things become dramatic and spicy again? He’s running after vehicles and declaring promises of doing anything to free her. Methinks Mike has a strong case of White Knight Syndrome 😬

So like....the normies like us? Who we would would be in these situations haha. "I'm just trying to watch Police Academy 3, man! Not fight interdimensonal demons"

He was an underrated mvp in season 2, I even forget about his role in that season sometimes. It's probably because of the introduction of High Octane Billy..

Tbf its not like today where you can homeschool online or something. If she's gonna be in society she has to go to school somehow and Joyce doesn't have the ability to do that at home since she has to work.

Geez, give Mike a break! In season 1 and 2 he’s the driving force of protecting El, and bringing her into the friendship group. And in Season 2, he’s Will’s greatest supporter and understands before anyone else what’s happening to him. He does become a bit annoying in season 3, but he’s at that awkward age, and at a stage that many kids go through. I think he’s going to become much more sympathetic again in season 5.

It never would have happened fr on the show but they did introduce the perfect romantic partner for Steve and it's Eddie. I'll die on this Steddie hill! Can't wait for you guys to see the next ep >:)

I don't know how small Hawkins is supposed to be, but I grew up in a tiny town and knew where several of my teachers lived. Also, they could've looked it up in the phone book.

Y'all have absolutely no comprehension of the black hole you're about to fall into. I'm jealous. Enjoy

I always just wonder how these kids know where their teachers live 😅. This is the second time they've just rolled up to teacher's house

Without spoiling anything, as far as Dr. Owens and his "program" goes, I don't think he created it in the event that Eleven lost her powers. As he said in that scene, the program could end up enhancing her powers. I think that was probably its initial intent, to make her more powerful in case that became necessary someday. That is a little bit of extrapolation on my part, but it makes more sense to me than him creating it in case she somehow lost her powers. I think it's interesting the way people (I'm talking about the characters, but also people reacting to the show) tend to react to Eleven hitting Angela with that skate. In season one, she literally breaks Troy's arm using her powers. Yes, that was a much more dire situation because the idiot had a knife. But it seems like that moment is generally celebrated while her striking back at Angela after being systematically bullied for months is heavily criticized. To be clear, I'm not saying that what she did was okay. Her being in mainstream school when she'd had no real education prior to that moment is wild to me. Especially high school. It's the one thing that's always bugged me about this season. But I think her reacting the way she did makes total sense to me considering the way she grew up isolated from the world. I feel like this is really where the season takes off, even though I think every episode in the season is strong. But this one is what really gets the ball rolling. Can't wait for next week!
