I learned when I was a kid that the peace sign for Brits is actually fuck you. But only if the back of the fingers face you. My dad used to work with a British dude and it became our inside joke lol

2025-10-23 09:18:04 +0000 UTCI loved this scene because it doesn’t depict a horrible relationship. It’s two people who genuinely care for one another, obviously love each other. Michelle’s feelings don’t have to stem from Ted being bad but rather just her own feelings. She says that she wants to feel happy in the marriage but can’t. Thats something she has to work through maybe by herself. It’s hard to figure out why you’re unhappy if you also feel an obligation to another person to try and make it work.

It would be easy to have them have a falling out. to have a reason and a catalyst. but sometimes... sometimes there is no reason. sometimes there isn't a villain. sometimes sad things just happen. things out of your control happen and you have to learn to do whats best for both parties. let go. and i love that they highlight that quitting and letting go are two different things.
