Getting here late but Las Guns (lasers) and the shields don't play well together. a nuclear type reaction. So, they needed to take out the shielded ornithopters prior to using the las guns on the spice harvester!

2025-07-16 05:00:30 +0000 UTCIn the attack on the spice harvester scene - can’t use lasers against a shield. It causes a nuclear explosion and it’ll kill you too. So Paul and Chani had to take out the ornithopter before the laser guys revealed their cover and took down the big guy.
