2025-10-16 16:17:52 +0000 UTCI was essentially a Cady if she didn't get closer to Regina - a redhead "invited" to join the Mean Girls group of our class after I stood up to one of them. People didn't expect me to as I mostly minded my own business and was drawing/reading instead of socializing. After taking a look into how those girls treated each other, it was the fastest "nope" of my life. Which, of course, made them hate me and try to bully (it didn't help I was the "poor" kid and didn't smoke or talk about makeup). So these girls would smile in my face and then manipulate guys into trying to bully me. Thing they didn't bank on, was my very real self-respect and willingness to fight. So when one of the dudes put some garbage on my desk and said it was my lunch, noone was prepared for what happened next - me feeding that garbage to the dude. After that and couple more failed attempts (like throwing a tennis ball at me that I intercepted and threw back full force), the guys left me alone physically but still of course had those whispers/rumours going. When confronting the girls directly, they would smile in my face and play dumb, which was very aggrevating. I let it go for myself, but when one of the girls was making fun of our overweight awkward classmate, I was so done that I pulled her by her ponytail up to the ground until she apologized. That girl was the "Gretchen" of the group - other girls would often refer to her as annoying behind her back and she was trying too hard to get into their good graces. Sorry for an extensive comment, all of this is just to answer your question - yes, mean girls is a very much real thing in schools and honestly made me fear being friends with girls for a while. Even the girl I considered a friend, who was bullied by others and defended by me, actually betrayed me by snitching to the teacher I didn't do homework, to get into the Mean Girls Group good graces. I got teased by the whole class saying my only friend betrayed me for a week. I forgave and stayed friends for a while, but she repeated the same behaviour pattern later in life (I got her through job interview by prepping and giving her answers bc I saw her struggle in her previous place of work, "being bullied" by her boss who made her eat lunch for 15 minutes on foot in the closet. She started acting like she didn't know me and like it was her own achievement getting into the company shortly after I got her in, because again - she wanted to be a part of Mean Girls Group, but now at the workplace).

2025-07-03 03:59:31 +0000 UTCIt took me forever to put together why Regina & Janice weren’t friends anymore. Janice was Lebanese, so she did not have a “big lesbian crush” on Regina. Which I figure is the reason Janice wanted to take her down so badly. Also, don’t watch the reboot-it’s truly awful and really doesn’t translate well in the world of FaceTime and social media
