Hi, I just joined the Patreon page :) Love your channel! I am now up to date with the Hunger Games reactions. I loved the books as a child and of course the films too. My absolute favorite character is Effie. You're right in your assessment that she initially enjoyed the benefits of the capitol, but of course, deep down she knew it was wrong. In the books, she's portrayed in a bit more detail, but I think her basic character traits come across very well in the film too. She has an unintentionally black sense of humor and often serves as comic relief. Her way of always taking care of her appearance and staying true to her principles is a key message of the entire trilogy. Whether you're about to die or fight in a war; She usually refuses to give in to grief and despair and always tries to make the best of the situation to maintain her self-confidence and that of the people around her. Overall, she has huge development and is a very diverse character. (The importance of fashion as a symbol for representation and belonging is a very present theme in the books. And I completely agree with your analysis of Peta's outfit!)
