Great episode

This episode weirdly made me go into a No Doubt/Gwen Stefani music video spiral and I really think an urgent PFN recap episode is needed, when you watch them all her MAGA status is not at all surprising she’s literally one of the most beautiful and sensual pop stars ever and VERY Jack coded. surely one of her gays is a listener and can get her on here

The White Stripes rule. I loved them. Not a big fan of Jack White’s solo stuff, but his other band, The Raconteurs had a few bangers. The Everlong video always made me laugh. Late-stage Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl are pretty gay and lame, but god damn did they make some good songs early in their career. Wish I could beat off with that giant growing hand trick lol Scream is one of the greatest videos/films ever created. G Love and the Special Sauce was one of those terrible monstrosities that came out of the Jack Johnson/Matt Costa supermarket/office-friendly adult contemporary era that were Billboard charting for some reason. Lenny Kravitz is really fucking hot, I’ve always thought so. No shame. Fly, Are you Gonna Go My Way, American Woman (Austin Powers), he had some hits for sure! FREE YOUR MIIIIIIND AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW. Ballroom, Paris is Burning mixed with heavy metal rock music. An absolute slay

Spike Jonze is hot and I loved his involvement in Jackass. Jack’s right, Her is one of the worst films I can think of… Beck sucks, but it was HILARIOUS that year he beat Beyoncé for album of the year at the Grammys. I agree with Zane, Linkin Park was one of my first truly favorite rock bands. I also loved the Linkin Park x Jay-Z ‘Collision Course mashup record. FROZEN is one of the monumental feats of Madonna’s career and it’s not up for debate, despite Chris Cunningham’s elitist bs about the effects not looking good. The video is a masterpiece. It’s scary and beautiful and the visuals match the song perfectly. ‘Hella Good’ is one of No Doubt/Gwen Stefani’s crowning achievements. Radiohead has never really sparked joy with me. I enjoy some of their songs and videos, but I’ve always been very lukewarm about them. I think Thom Yorke is insufferable. The ‘All These Things That I Have Done’ video is incredible. The sight of Brandon Flowers in the shower is seared into my brain forever. Despite the memes, South Park, the kinda cringe (Red) save Africa campaign, U2 and Bono have always fucking ruled. Alanis Morissette’s ‘Ironic’ video is iconic. Anthony Kiedis and Flea should just always be naked. I agree that pretty much everything after Red Hot Chili Peppers’ debut ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magick’ is meh. I like Californiacation, I grew up in the era that it was out and ubiquitous to culture, but stylistically, sonically RHCP never topped the ‘Give it Away’, Under the Bridge, Suck My Kiss era. I can’t believe I never made the connection that Jonathan Glazer, the director of Birth (which is excellent BTW. I recently rewatched because LowRes has mentioned it on //Movies recently), Sexy Beast and Under the Skin, directed Jamiroquai’s VIRTUAL INSANITY, Karma Police and Karmacoma! 🤯 THIS EP IS EVERYTHING. THESE SONG ARE EVERYTHING. A LOT THESE VIDEOS ARE INGRAINED IN MY BRAIN FORVER. INCREDIBLE. ❤️

I love how you know everything, like Asians being very cool in the 90s

Killers fan for life. Feeling so cool with my Hot Fuss shirt from topic as a freshman in high school when my best friend didn't like the CD so she gave it to me. On repeat. Sams Town blew my mind. Had to come back and comment again :)

The Frozen music video planted a seed in me that still grows strong. I was 8 or 9 watching that for the first time and was absolutely entranced. Drawing on my hands became a common thing then just so I could emulate whatever magic I experienced. Wonderful episode, bravo!!

Protection is one of my comfort songs. I first heard Massive Attack when I saw Hackers as a kid. They’ve been a favorite ever since.

Age gap romances FTW! Edit: And yes the music video and music are dead
