“That sounds like an insect wrote that in hell” — made me weak in the knees. Full wobble on my jog.

Even more than usual, this feels like eavesdropping on the best conversation you ever heard between two old friends. Very gentle and cozy and so so true

“…never forget that the David Lynch story is about what happens when someone popular and good, that likes their parents, becomes an artist.”

Awesome discussion.

You both had me crying at my laptop about 1 hr in discussing Lynch’s good upbringing and how that influenced his work. You took the time to get to know what made him. That is a real tribute-one I haven’t heard yet since he passed!

So good. When I first found out he had died, I was told by a coworker across the desk right when it happened. She launched off into a tirade about all the same hollow-minded dwarven little misunderstandings and received slop opinions that you outline throughout this episode... All of it. It sullied the moment. I said I disagreed and explained some of my thoughts, but it was like talking to a beetle... nothing but an uncomprehending stare. This episode helped to erase that, so thank you.
