2025.08.07 - Something Borrowed
Added 2025-08-07 05:16:13 +0000 UTCPolitics doesn’t really belong in games, in my opinion. While I realize that parts of who I am are always going to end up in my writing, political writing is as its essence persuasive writing. When you write to convince, you aren’t writing to entertain.
I am simply going to point out that, objectively, there will always be people who don’t like something, and want to remove it, despite what others want. Not because it’s breaking the law, but because they don’t want to see it, so we shouldn’t either.
I don’t want to go on about this (though I certainly could), but the main point is that just sitting around and waiting isn’t going to make this go away. Payment networks like VISA and Mastercard are only hearing one side of the story, and you can and should raise your voice and let them know that there is another side to this. The correct side.
There are places where you can sign petitions, and information on who to call and write, and you should write and call and sign. We’ll go on making these games, but if you don’t act, you may not ever be allowed to play them.
Elsewhere:
The story for ‘’Willowdale, Part One’’ is still progressing, with outlines being converted to scripts and scripts being converted to renders. I am unsure of the totals thus far, but I’ll let you know how many renders and words as well as scenes we have finished probably at the end of next week.
Until then, please enjoy this image of Genni doing her own version of borrowing.
