I actually did have her on my list for a while to draw, tho I'm glad her winning the September 2025 Suggestions Poll results forced my hand, and now it's time to get to work. Thank you for your patience by the way! It took a while to find a setup I'd enjoy. At a certain point it was really hard to find a plot scenario that felt original while also dynamic, so I decided to just keep it simple while having my own tweaks and spins to make it stand out a little.
To start; we're gonna give her a casual outfit from that one episode to try out. The Instagram community voted for this one. I actually might have an after-shot of her in the classic school uniform later in an after-math shot. The idea here will be that Najimi invited her to the local fair to make some friends, and her presence warrants so much attention that she gets pushed to try all the samples of several different vendors and stands for free, and boom. Large Komi.
It's also the first project I have done where it's a narrator taking the role of most of the dialogue. It's an interesting and fun change of pace for me considering Komi is mute and all .I also like the added bonus of potentially having a variety of foods to go through, starting with a corn dog cuz they are filled with cheese and can be fattened on top of the other stuff, and in the moment.. it just felt so correct. I also personally never had a corn dog, but they look yummy.
Maybe a "day after, post-digestion shot" at the end of her trying to put on her school uniform, just for some icing and some "great now I am stuck like this" tension.
More progress to come, and might plan out Nagatoro and Makima while I am ahead, since they are runner-ups.
