Sweeties, I do so much making behind the scenes that never gets posted! A big reason is that my workflow isn’t exactly chronological—I plan and work on things months in advance, depending on what excites me in the moment. But I think I want to start sharing more of that process here.
So, here’s a little preview of an upcoming shoot! Our favorite Captain, Amara A’dore, has had a little upgrade… or… has she? 🤔 Looking at her more closely… is that our Amara?
A little behind-the-scenes on the wig process! First, I curl the hair—nothing fancy, just a solid base to work from. Then I use my foolproof way to cut layers into wigs like this—no thin, scraggly ends, just nice volume without needing any complicated styling techniques. (I’ll film it for you next time!)
For that wet-look, defined wavy curl, here’s the trick:
✨ Spray the wig with water until the hair clings together
✨ Use a wig comb to separate out the curls
✨ Run a high-hold gel through the strands and let it dry
✨ Scrunch it up with your hands to fluff it up—and done!
Super easy, super effective, and it looks incredible in photos! Can’t wait to show you more soon!
