Added 2022-06-24 04:41:18 +0000 UTCSo, if you saw my Twitter, you may have noticed I pushed back Sanctuary. I did this for a couple reasons. I won't share this with Twitter, but for my Patrons, I think some explanation is deserved.
The first thing I want to say is that Sanctuary is not cancelled and is still coming out, but it will be a few months from now rather than in July.
Now, why I decided to push the novel back.
Sanctuary takes some risks. The main character is severely wounded almost immediately. This kind of flies in the face of most harem. On top of that, there are a lot of horror elements. I'm not sure how the harem community will feel about this in a dark fantasy setting. Thirdly, the novel spends a lot of time not just on the main character Blake Slater but also on the monster girls. There are explicit sex scenes, and it is longer, but I think the risks it comes with are too early in my writing career to test.
So in place I'm sticking with something a little more light-hearted feature dragon girls. It's still fantasy, still features explicit sex scenes, but I think it's more in line with what harem readers expect.
Now, something else I'm excited to share. Desperate Times has done very well. I want to revisit a similar story, but I obviously cannot write the same novel twice. So I thought, what if it's zombies instead of an EMP? I'm starting a trilogy of novels in a post-apocalyptic world feature zombies and a main character with a harem of hot women. I think it will work well.
So yeah, those are my updates. I also wanted to say Lights Out 2 has been pushed back a bit to make room for the dragon girl harem and the post-apocalyptic zombie novels. Tonight or tomorrow I will upload the first chapter of my the new fantasy harem, Dragoness Mansion.
