Flame Salamander WIPs
Added 2023-03-09 07:28:57 +0000 UTCThis is where I'm at so far with trying to make some sort of sense out of the varied concepts. I've leaned more into the reptile aspects and tried to have some sort of correlation back to the larval form as well.
Still needs work overall but I'm not hating it, the first experiment wasn't that lucky.

What if he had 4 arms like Goro? Maybe not the most accurate to the creature but could provide an interesting dynamic to the pose as you lose some stuff with the snake body. The arms have maybe too much bulk. The beak is interesting. The design feels maybe more humanoid than reptilian/amphibian. It's a tough sculpt no doubt.
2023-03-09 16:38:53 +0000 UTCI love the face honestly, I think it captures the sense of primordial fire creature well in that regard. I don't really think they'd be much of a "salamander" if they were super humanoid in the face or body. But I definitely agree he needs a touch more flame! Maybe some bracers of wild fire around the wrists and a collar of fire around the neck (sort of like Typhlosion if that helps)?
