I ran with the ideas you shared giving one a glass staff and went full Lich for the other, the magic essence is a separate piece as well if you want to experiment with resins or not include it.
As always the 32mm and 54mm versions (including pre-supported) as well as paper minis, a stat sheet and online VTT tokens have been added!
I dont have stats for the Lich version yet, there are no official Szass Tam stat blocks to reference so if you have any ideas let me know and I'll get one made up.
