Looks like they suspended everything for much longer than the 24hr period I was told. I've had zero response from dropbox support this entire time because apparently they only work mon-fri which is insane for the "service" they supposedly provide.
I'm migrating everything across to google drive in the mean time, which should hopefully resolve the problems. It's got double the bandwidth and while they can do a similar thing with suspending links they deem to have 'excessive downloads' it is only that single link and not your entire account. So if this were to happen again you would all still be able to access and download the individual folders just not the master folder.
On top of this it looks like MMF is a preference for most so I'll look at getting that going as well, it will take a bit of time to setup and update all the listings but at least we'll have a better system moving forward.
