Just some more quality of life stuff I've been plugging away at this past week. Almost every file in the collection has been repaired to fix a strange issue happening outside of Chitubox.

It had been mentioned a few times that the files would throw errors when used in Lychee and would be a pain to repair. I originally thought it had something to do with how Chitubox saved the STL's as stuff obviously printed but the more I looked into it the more it seemed that Zbrush wasn't exporting files as cleanly as it claimed and an older version of chitu done some weird stuff with the supports which made them disappear completely on repair attempts.

All this lead me to trying out every major slicer searching for a fix and even using combinations of apps but it eventually lead me to a god tier app for solving this invisible problem.

Fusion 360

Most of the slicers attempt to upload and repair the file through an online Netfabb service, which worked half the time but it was pretty slow. Fusion 360 has Netfabb built in with way more options and what seemed like way more power, it easily repaired files that made the other slicing apps lock up or fail. The best part is a personal use/hobby license is completely free and I highly recommend it if you have any trouble files!

This should free you all from being stuck with Chitu or trying repair stuff for other slicers, now that I'm aware of the issue I'll run everything through Fusion 360 before delivery.

Just for the record, the other apps I tried and what I found using them.

Chitubox - Didnt detect any errors, didnt seem to repair anything either. Exports would often be invalid after running a repair.

Meshmixer - Detects everything, hit or miss with repairs. Tends to just delete the harder problem areas which isn't helpful, if it does fill the hole it does it badly.

Lychee - Fairly limited repairs without hooking in external apps, it wouldn't run multiple repair attempts on the same file.

PrusaSlicer - Fixed most things but is slow, the bigger the file the longer the wait time.
